A Call to Conscience: Standing with the Oppressed

At the Randpark Ridge Islamic Foundation, we are guided by a moral and spiritual duty to uphold justice, compassion, and truth.

We bear witness to the immense suffering unfolding in Palestine — a genocide carried out by Israel, an occupying evil power. This reality compels us to reflect deeply, not only on the events themselves, but on our response as individuals and as a community.

This is not merely a political issue. It is a humanitarian and moral crisis of profound magnitude. Lives are being lost, families are being torn apart, and entire communities are enduring unimaginable hardship. Behind every statistic is a human being — a child, a parent, a family — whose dignity and right to life must be recognised and upheld.

As an Ummah, we are reminded of our collective responsibility. The teachings of Islam call us to remain conscious of injustice and to respond with sincerity, integrity, and action. The Prophet ﷺ likened the believers to one body: when one part is in pain, the entire body responds.

In this spirit, we urge our community to:
  • Remain conscious and informed, refusing to become desensitised to oppression
  • Engage in sincere du‘ā, seeking relief and justice for those who are suffering
  • Speak with clarity and responsibility, upholding truth without distortion
  • Offer support where possible, through ethical and constructive means
Allah تعالى reminds us in the Qur’an:
“And what is [the matter] with you that you do not stand for the cause of Allah and for the oppressed among men, women, and children…” (Qur’an 4:75)

We ask Allah to grant relief to the oppressed, to bring justice where there is ظلم (oppression), and to keep our hearts firm upon truth and compassion.

In Palestine Today

GAZA, July 30, 2026 (WAFA) — Three Palestinians, including two children, were killed and others wounded on Thursday in Israeli airstrikes targeting several areas across the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources reported that two Palestinians, one of them a child, and several wounded individuals arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital after Israeli warplanes struck a tent sheltering displaced people in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.

In a separate strike, a child was killed and several others injured after an Israeli missile hit a residential apartment opposite the Al-Bureij Municipality building in central Gaza. The victims were also transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.

The sources said that six Palestinians were wounded, one critically, when Israeli warplanes targeted an apartment building near Al-Ma'mouniya School in the Al-Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City.

The death toll from the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip has risen to 73,335, with 174,052 wounded, since October 7, 2023.

JENIN, July 30, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli forces on Thursday began establishing a new settlement outpost on land belonging to the village of Faqqu'a, northeast of Jenin, after carrying out land-leveling and clearing operations.

The head of the Faqqu'a village council, Barakat al-Amri, told WAFA that Israeli forces provided protection for machinery and workers who began leveling and preparing the site, following the construction of a military road connecting the area to the main road linking Faqqu'a and Arrabuna.

He said that the leveling work is taking place on land adjacent to the separation wall, noting that Israeli authorities had previously opened the access road based on military land seizure orders issued in 2008 before moving ahead with the establishment of the new settlement outpost.

Al-Amri added that no new seizure orders have yet been issued regarding the site, stressing that those present are workers operating under the protection of the occupation army.

He warned that establishing the colonial outpost would separate the village of Arabuna from Faqqu’a, and deprive hundreds of civilians of access to their agricultural lands located along the wall, where Israeli authorities already impose strict access restrictions.
